These Regulations amend the Personal Independence Payment (Transitional Provisions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016 (S.R. 2016 No. 227) (“the Transitional Regulationsâ€) which make provision for disability living allowance (“DLAâ€) claimants to transfer to personal independence payment (“PIPâ€), including those who claim PIP after reaching the relevant age (age 65 or state pension age, whichever is the higher).
These Regulations amend the Personal Independence Payment (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2013 which transfer disability living allowance entitled persons to personal independence payment (“DLA transfer claimantsâ€) by providing an exemption to personal independence payment (“PIPâ€) age restriction in section 83(1) of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 in cases where transfer claimants’ PIP awards are revised or superseded for a change of circumstances.
This Order revokes the Value Added Tax (Finance) (EU Exit) Order 2019 (‘the Finance Order’).
