These Regulations amend the Accreditation of Forensic Service Providers Regulations 2018 (S.I. 2018/1276) (“the 2018 Regulationsâ€). The 2018 Regulations provide that law enforcement agencies must use accredited forensic service providers to carry out laboratory activity in relation to DNA and fingerprint evidence.

This Order designates the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (“the Instituteâ€) as an approved regulator under Part 4 (regulation of approved regulators) of the Legal Services Act 2007 (c. 29) in relation to the administration of oaths. Designation will allow the Institute to authorise and regulate persons in relation to the administration of oaths.
These Regulations amend the Child Trust Funds Regulations 2004 (S.I. 2004/1450) (“Child Trust Funds Regulationsâ€) to provide for, when no instructions are received from the holder of a child trust fund, an account provider to transfer all the investments under a child trust fund held by a person immediately before his or her 18th birthday to a protected account under section 7B of the Child Trust Funds Act 2004 (c. 6),
These Regulations amend the Housing Benefit (Executive Determinations) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008 (“the 2008 Executive Determinations Regulationsâ€) and the Universal Credit Housing Costs (Executive Determinations) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016 (“the 2016 Executive Determinations Regulationsâ€) to make changes to the manner in which the local housing allowance is determined.

These Regulations amend the Individual Savings Account Regulations 1998 (S.I. 1998/1870) (“the Individual Savings Account Regulationsâ€) to provide for when a transfer is made of investments held in a child trust fund which has matured under the Child Trust Funds Regulations 2004 (S.I.2004/1450) as amended by the Child Trust Funds (Amendment) Regulations 2020, which come into force at the same time as these Regulations (“the Child Trust Fund Regulationsâ€), subject to regulation 1(2) of each of these Regulations and the Child Trust Fund Regulations.
This Order amends the Extradition Act 2003 (Designation of Part 1 Territories) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/3333) (“the Part 1 Orderâ€) and the Extradition Act 2003 (Designation of Part 2 Territories) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/3334) (“the Part 2 Orderâ€).
This Order makes provision under section 80 of the Legal Services Act 2007 (c. 29) (“the 2007 Actâ€) for the First-tier Tribunal to hear and determine appeals from decisions made by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (“CILExâ€) in its capacity as a licensing authority. Licensing authorities regulate licensed bodies under the provisions of Part 5 of the 2007 Act (alternative business structures). The decisions are those which are appealable under Part 5 of the 2007 Act or under CILEx’s licensing rules. Section 83 of the 2007 Act defines licensing rules as rules about the licensing and regulation of licensed bodies.
