These Regulations amend the Taxes (Interest Rate) Regulations 1989 (S.I. 1989/1297) (“the 1989 Regulationsâ€).
This Order amends sections 150(1), 155(1B) and 161(b) of the Income Tax (Earnings and Pensions) Act 2003 (c. 1) (“the Actâ€).
These Regulations amend requirements in the Video Recordings (Labelling) Regulations 2012 (S.I. 2012/1767) (“the 2012 Regulationsâ€) relating to certain classification symbols that must be shown on video recordings or any spool, case or other thing on or in which the recording is kept and other products containing video works for which a classification certificate has been issued by the video works authority.
This Order makes provision under sections 14 and 15A of the Pensions Act 2008 (c. 30) (“the Actâ€).
These Regulations provide for an exemption from income tax on income earned in the UK in connection with football matches held in the UK as part of the Union des Associations Européennes de Football (UEFA) EURO 2020 final tournament. The exemption applies only to individuals within the meaning of “accredited person†(as defined by regulation 3), such as accredited players, officials or contractors of the participating national football associations, UEFA, UEFA Events SA and partner organisations. The individuals must be non UK resident in the tax year 2020-21 or, where the tax year is a split year in relation to the individual, the income must relate to the overseas part of the year.
