These Regulations are made under the Coronavirus Act 2020 in order to ensure that warrants can continue to be approved by Judicial Commissioners under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 (“the 2016 Actâ€).
These Regulations suspend the limitation, set out in section 155(1) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992, that Statutory Sick Pay is not payable for the first three qualifying days in a period of entitlement. They also amend the Statutory Sick Pay (General) Regulations 1982 (“the 1982 Regulationsâ€) to specify when a person isolating by reason of coronavirus is deemed to be incapable of work.
These Regulations provide further measures in response to the present outbreak of coronavirus disease in Great Britain. They are in addition to those in the Employment and Support Allowance and Universal Credit (Coronavirus Disease) Regulations 2020 (S.I. 2020/289).
These Regulations amend the prescribed fees in the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) Regulations 2002 (S.I. 2002/233) to extend the categories of people who are not required to pay a fee when applying for a criminal record certificate or an enhanced criminal record certificate. This includes emergency volunteers, nurses, pharmacists, other healthcare professional and social workers who are temporarily or otherwise registered under relevant legislation, including that modified by the Coronavirus Act 2020 (c. 7), and persons employed in connection with the provision of care and treatment of coronavirus disease.
These Regulations revoke the Occupational and Personal Pension Schemes (General Levy) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 (S.I. 2020/195).
These Regulations provide further measures in response to the present outbreak of coronavirus disease in Northern Ireland. They are in addition to those in the Employment and Support Allowance and Universal Credit (Coronavirus) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 (S.R. 2020 No. 33).
This Order excludes from the Chapter I prohibition in the Competition Act 1998 agreements between those maritime operators providing passenger and freight crossing services across the Solent, intended to assist the operators in addressing the effects or likely effects of coronavirus on the provision of crossing services. The Chapter I prohibition precludes agreements between undertakings, decisions by associations of undertakings or concerted practices which may affect trade within the United Kingdom and which have as their object or effect the prevention, restriction or distortion of competition within the United Kingdom. Where there are exceptional and compelling reasons of public policy for doing so, the Secretary of State may exclude an agreement or an agreement of a particular description from the Chapter I prohibition.
