This Order amends Group 3 of Schedule 8 to the Value Added Tax Act 1994 (zero-rating: books etc.) to extend the zero rate to electronically supplied versions of some of the publications listed in that Group provided that they satisfy the conditions for zero-rating as specified.
This Order introduces a temporary relief from VAT in the form of a zero rate to be applied to the supply of personal protective equipment recommended for use for protection from infection with coronavirus. The relief is introduced in response to the coronavirus health emergency by way of a time-limited addition to Schedule 8 (zero-rating) to the Value Added Tax Act 1994 (c. 23). The relief remains in force for the period from 1st May 2020 until 31st July 2020.
These Regulations make amendments to secondary legislation relating to school teachers’ qualifications and induction periods, in order to amend requirements which would otherwise not operate as intended as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
These Regulations make derogations from Regulation (EU) 1307/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 establishing rules for direct payments to farmers under support schemes within the framework of the common agricultural policy. Under these Regulations, the crop diversification requirements are disapplied in England for claim year 2020.
These Regulations make amendments to secondary legislation relating to special educational needs and disability in order to provide exceptions to time limits set out in that legislation where they cannot be met because of a reason relating to the incidence or transmission of coronavirus.
