These Regulations provide that amounts reimbursed to an employee in respect of expenses that the employee has incurred in obtaining office equipment to enable home working necessitated by the coronavirus outbreak will be disregarded when calculating the amount of earnings for the purposes of calculating that employee’s liability to pay primary Class 1 contributions.
These Regulations make consequential provisions in exercise of the power in section 41(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Act 2020 (c. 1) (“the 2020 Actâ€).

These Regulations amend a number of statutory instruments in relation to tax credits (social security benefits which are administered by Her Majesty’s Commissioners for Revenue and Customs) in consequence of the establishment of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (which was established under a direction given by the Chancellor of the Exchequer under sections 71 amd 76 of the Coronavirus Act 2020 (c. 7)).
These Regulations make provision with respect to certain traffic orders made and notices given in England, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. They are being introduced as an emergency measure in response to the effects of coronavirus.
