Interested in mentoring a judge? Applications are open for the 2026 cohort of the Judicial Reverse Mentoring scheme.
‘Reverse mentoring’ challenges the idea of hierarchy by turning the traditional mentoring format on its head, with the more junior one mentoring the more senior one.
With learning opportunities for both sides of the mentoring relationship, this process can significantly benefit legal professionals interested in a judicial career – as well as the judges they mentor.
This scheme is designed to focus on individuals from groups currently underrepresented within the judiciary, supporting a core objective of the new Judicial Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2026-30.
We are looking for practising legal professionals with 10 years or less PQE, from groups currently underrepresented within the judiciary including:
Individuals from black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds Women Individuals with disabilities Members of the LGBTQ+ community Those from socio-economically disadvantaged backgroundsFor more information, including how to apply, visit the Judicial Careers Portal.
Applications are open until Tuesday 24 March 2026.
